Connecting an Aerpro interface for a stereo set up for a factory CANBUS

FOR SILVER BACKED STEREOS


If you have gone from the factory interface to an Aerpro interface then these are the steps you will need to take

Instructions

A) Set the unit so it is not looking for the factory CANBUS

     Settings
       Factory Settings
         (enter) 3368
           (scroll down to) Car Model
               Set the unit to Null – null – null – null ( or similar to this) – this means it will not take information from the CANBUS
      

Use the ISO harness / Steering wiring + Aerpro adapter and steering wiring lead.
      The small steering wiring wire has 2 wires labelled as AD1 and AD2 , one red and one black wire. 
      The Aerpro wire has 2 wires (KEY1 and Key2) and a black
      Join the AD1 to Key1, Join AD2 to Key2, Join the black and ignore the red

    Connect the unit and go to
           Settings
             Factory Settings
                (enter) 3368
                   (scroll down to)  Steering Controls
           Set the steering controls

 

FOR BLACK BACKED STEREOS

Instructions

A) Set the unit so it is not looking for the factory CANBUS

        

Use the ISO harness / Steering wiring + Aerpro adapter and steering wiring lead.
      The ISO plug may hav 2 wires labelled as key 1 and Key 2 . 
      The Aerpro wire has 2 wires (KEY1 and Key2) and a black
      Join the Key1  to Key1, Join Key2  to Key2,  Earth the black and ignore the red

If your ISO plug is not labelled



    Connect the unit and go to
           Settings
             Factory Settings
                (enter) 8808
                   (scroll down to)  Steering Controls or SWC
           Set the steering controls
